Eleanor's Room Service Module allows guests to order room service directly through their app. However, if a guest calls up requesting Room Service - you can still place an order through the system, to ensure that the kitchen team know about the request and can process it for the guest.
To place an order on behalf of the guest you will need to have at least the Order Taker user role, in the Room Service Module
To place a new order, you will want to navigate to the Live Order View shown below, where you can see the current orders being processed.
Here, you will be able to select New Order, found at the top of the screen.
Once selected, this will take you to a new screen, where you can see the Room Services menus that are available.
Go through the menu, selecting the items that have been requested by the guest. Please note that only items on menus that are currently active will be available to order (e.g. if your breakfast menu is only available until 11:00, then you won't be able to order from it at 15:00 in the afternoon).
when you select an item to add to the basket, if there are options you will need to choose these, before adding to the order.
Once all items have been added to the basket - you can proceed to check out by selecting the shopping basket in the bottom right of the screen and then pressing the Checkout button.
at the checkout, you will be able to see a summary of the order and be able to select the guest, you can search using the room number, or the name, alternatively, you can scroll through the in-house list to find the right guest.
Once selected, you have the option to add any notes to the order - which may be important for the kitchen or delivery person to know.
Once this is done, select the Place Order button, and the order will go through.
You will then be taken back to the Live Order Screen, where the new order should be displayed.
