Eleanor's Room Service Module allows guests to order room service directly through their app. The Room Service Menu can be managed from the Room Service Dashboard, which can be accessed from the main Eleanor screen.
To manage or add new menus for the Room Service module you will need to have either the Product Admin or Manager user level.
Menus (Categories):
Categories are used to split the room Service Menu up into sections, to make it easier for a guest to navigate. For example you may wish to separate your Breakfast Menu from your main Room Service menu.
To set up categories, go to the "Categories" under the Products in the side menu.
Here you will be able to see the current categories that are set up. The Eleanor Room Service Module supports two levels of categories (Main category and subcategories).
In the app, Subcategories only show once the parent category is selected;
If your resort has multiple menus that are available for guests to order from, we recommend that each menu is a parent category, then divided into sections using subcategories.
To add a new category, simply complete the fields on the left, and select the parent category if it is to have one;
A main category can have multiple subcategories, but a subcategory can only have 1 parent category - and can't have any subcategories of its own.
The category description will show at the top of the page in the app, if one is applied. This is a good place to state the opening times for Room Service.
Once a Menu category has been created, products can be added to it via the Products screen.
Opening times:
Your Room Service may only be available at certain times of the day, or certain sections of the menu may only be available for limited periods (e.g. Breakfast).
To set which times the menu(s) are available for guests to order from, navigate to Orderable, then Timed Products.
Here you can create rules, that will mean either individual products or sections of your menu (e.g. Breakfast items) are only available at set times.
To create a new rule click "Add New" at the top of the page, set a name for the new rule, and then set the time the items should be available to order between.
Once set, select either the individual products or the product categories this rule should apply.
Once all items or menu categories have been selected, click Publish on the right side of the menu.
