Why is the link to my Octopus Energy account pending?

When you add your Octopus Energy account as a payment method, it will show as pending while we do some internal checks.

For the link to work, you’ll need an active supply and direct debit on your energy account. When the robot octopuses in the system confirm that your account can be used as a payment method, the pending status will be removed automatically.

While we complete these checks, you’ll need to add a different payment method to start charging with the Electroverse app!

If you have recently set up the direct debit on your energy account, the robot octopuses may take longer to check while your bank confirms the instruction.
