Why have I been charged a preauthorisation on my card?

To keep charging safe and seamless, a temporary “preauthorisation” has been included in some charging sessions to help prevent fraud & reduce billing errors for the entire EV community.

Public charging should be accessible to all, which is why, once a sustained payment history has been built up, your account will have pre-authorisation removed.

Until that time, the preauthorisation amount will be returned to your account within 24 hours of any attempted charging session; it depends on your bank how quickly this will appear in your statement. Please note that due to individual banking policies, processing may take between 5 and 10 business days.
