Adjust the padding of all modules in the same page

Sometimes we need to adjust the padding on all modules on the same page and thanks to Divi's Extend Styles feature, we can do that with a few clicks.

To use the Extend Styles, first set the padding values for one of the modules on your page. In this example, I will be using the Text Module to set a custom padding that ultimately will be used across all the modules on the same page:

The next step would be to apply the same padding to all the modules that are present in the page layout, but without manually editing each module.

Right-click on the Padding text and choose Extend Padding:

A new set of options will let us choose to which elements we want the custom padding should be applied:

  • To field indicates to which module the custom padding should apply. By default, the option selected is All Text which means the custom padding will be extended to all the text modules within the current page.

  • If we need to extend this padding to all the modules within the same page, we can choose All modules option:

  • Throughout field indicates the location of the module selected for the To field and the options include:

  • This Page - apply the custom padding to the module selected in the To field on the whole page - it doesn't matter if a module is in a separate row or section

  • This Section - apply the custom padding to the modules within the same section, no matter the module type.

  • This Row  - apply the custom padding to the modules within the same row, no matter the module type.

  • This column - apply the custom padding to the modules within the same column, no matter the module type.
