Link a new bank account

Elevault users can link a bank account two ways: automatically via Plaid, or manually via micro-deposits. Here are the steps for both.

There are two ways to add a new linked bank account to Elevault:

  • Automatically via Plaid

  • Manually via small trial deposits

Linking automatically with Plaid

  1. Tap the Menu icon in the top right

  2. Tap Linked Accounts

  3. Tap Link New Account

  4. Tap Instantly with Plaid

  5. Once Plaid opens, review the information about linking automatically, then tap Continue

  6. Select your bank (If you do not see it in the list, you can type your bank's name in the search bar to locate it.)

  7. Enter the login information associated with your bank

  8. You'll receive a one-time use security code from Plaid to verify your account. Plaid will send this to your phone number or email address. Enter the security code in once you have it

  9. Select the checking or savings account you wish to link

  10. Tap Continue to finish linking your bank account with Plaid

Linking manually with micro-deposits

  1. Tap the Menu icon in the top right

  2. Tap Linked Accounts

  3. Tap Link New Account

  4. Tap Link Manually

  5. Type in the details for your checking or savings account, including your account number, routing number, and account type. You can also add a nickname for this account here

  6. Tap Start Linking

  7. Two trial deposits will be deposited to the bank account you're attempting to link within 1-2 business days (Weekends and holidays may affect this.)

This linked account will show as Pending until you confirm your deposit amounts

  8. Once you have the two deposit amounts, return to Elevault

  9. Open your Linked Accounts again from the menu

  10. Tap Finalize Linking and enter those deposit amounts.

  11. Tap Finalize Account Link to finish linking your bank account to Elevault

Tapping Unlink This Account during any status of a linked account will cancel linking the account to Elevault. You will need to have an active and fully linked account to successfully use Elevault.
