Create your competition

Updated over a week ago

After signing in, tap Create competition, enter the basic details (discipline and apparatus), and follow the guided setup.

In Elevien, you can build a competition using one or both disciplines and choose either a single age group (category) or multiple age groups and levels (programs).

One‑age‑group structure

Designed for smaller events or control trainings. It works best when there is a single program or category, or when you’re recording a training session as preparation for a competition.

With this structure, you can:

  • enable or disable individual apparatus,

  • define the number of vault attempts,

  • choose how results are displayed: by apparatus, all‑around, or team.

Multiple‑age‑groups structure

Intended for larger or more complex competitions with several programs or divisions. When working with multiple programs, you can:

  • create categories within each program (for example: senior, junior, etc.),

  • set category‑specific rules, including:

    • apparatus selection,

    • vault configuration,

    • result lists.

All structure and rule settings can be refined later in Settings, where programs and categories can be added or removed and general competition rules updated.

Selecting a date range

  • Pick the start and end dates using the date picker.

  • Set the start time. This is especially important when you use registrations with deadlines or run an online competition — availability and visibility are based on this time.

  • Adjust daily details later (like the start time for each subdivision) in the Schedule section.

  • Check that the indicated time zone is correct. Elevien automatically displays all start times according to each user’s local device time zone — you don’t need to convert anything; it will always show your local time.

Adding participants

There are three ways to add participants:

  1. Open registrations — Participants register directly in Elevien. The organizer creates a registration link, shares it, and sets a deadline.

  2. Add gymnasts manually — Add individual athletes directly in the app.

  3. Import a list (web only) — In the Discipline setup, click Add gymnast (top right), then choose Import gymnast list.

Copying a previous competition

If you are the owner or an administrator, you can reuse the structure of any competition you manage:

  1. Open the competition.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Click Copy competition.

This creates a duplicate of the structure and settings, including:

  • disciplines,

  • programs and categories,

  • competition settings (All‑Around, Team, Individual, Vault).

Note: Only competitions you administer can be copied. Public competitions you don’t manage cannot be duplicated.

Important: Participants are not copied, so you always start with a clean list.

Equipment requirements

No special equipment is needed — Elevien runs on standard devices.

To organize a competition, you need:

  • one smartphone or computer per judge and organizer,

  • a reliable internet connection.

If you plan to record routines:

  • one mobile phone per recorder.

This setup lets judges, organizers, and recorders work smoothly, whether your event is on‑site, hybrid, or fully online.
