Elevien supports two ways to define how a team is scored: the standard format (X+Y=Z) and the advanced format (X-Y-Z). Choose between them in the category's Team format settings.
Where to set it
In the left-hand navigation open Settings. On the right side you will find the apparatus and categories — click Edit on a category to adjust its team format.
You can also open the discipline from the navigation bar (WAG or MAG) and, below the discipline title (e.g. "WAG Setup"), click Teams to edit the list of teams and their format.
Standard format (X+Y=Z)
X — number of scores counted in the result
Y — additional team members
Z — total team members (X + Y = Z)
Example: 4+2=6 — 4 scores counted, 2 additional members, 6 in total.
Advanced format (X-Y-Z)
Switch on Advanced format (X-Y-Z) and fill in:
Members (X) — maximum number of gymnasts in the team.
Per apparatus (Y) — maximum number of team members nominated per apparatus. Optional; when set, every team member needs nominated apparatuses.
Counting (Z) — how many best scores per apparatus count toward the team result.
Note: the letters mean different things than in the standard format.
Example: 6-5-4 — up to 6 gymnasts in the team, up to 5 compete on each apparatus, and the best 4 scores per apparatus count.
Nominating apparatuses per team member
When Per apparatus is set, choose each member's apparatuses in the Gymnasts tab → Teams section — or in the Custom team list tab if the competition uses custom team result lists.
If something doesn't add up
In Settings: if the values aren't consistent (for example, Counting higher than Members), the team format can't be saved.
In nominations: if a team's nominations break the format (for example, more gymnasts nominated on an apparatus than Per apparatus allows), that team's score isn't calculated until the coach or organiser fixes the nominations.
