Follow these steps to successfully install and set up our desktop application on your Windows computer!

Download and install:

  • Go to Elkjøp Clouds download page.

  • Select 'Windows' under Elkjøp Cloud for computers.

  • The app will start downloading, and you can click the file in the lower part of the screen to start installing the app once it has finished.

You can usually also find the file in your "Downloads" folder in Windows Explorer. If you selected another folder as your download location, the file will be stored there instead.

  • Follow the installation steps.

If the application does not open you will find the Elkjøp Cloud icon in the bar down to the right. Right click and choose 'Open the Elkjøp Cloud application'. This will be the first step to set up Elkjøp Cloud.

Set up:

  • Click 'Get started' and log in via Elkjøp Clouds webpage.

  • Open the application and follow the setup steps.

  • As soon as Elkjøp Cloud has scanned and uploaded all files in the folders you've added, it will have 'Updated' next to it. You can view the progress at the bottom of the window.

Folder selection

During setup, you'll be asked to select folders you want to back up.

We've already selected the most common folders for you by default, so your most important files are protected right away. You only need to add other folders in addition to these if you have a need

Sync-folder location

During the setup you will be asked to place the Sync folder. The Sync folder is a synchronization folder that can be added to your computer and is connected to Elkjøp Cloud on all your devices.

By default, the Sync folder is placed under "Quick access" on your computer, and it is optional to choose another location.

The sync folder is also optional to enable.
