Our Grammy Winning Co Founder Smith Carlson has been engineering for years, working with some of the biggest names in pop music. Over that time period he got to see first hand what mastering did to improve some massive songs, and learned how different styles of music were mastered to sound the way we hear them on the radio.

He began working on eMastered after he had learned how crucial the process was, and set out to find a way to make great mastering accessible for newer musicians around the globe without spending a fortune.

The engine took many years to build, and due to Smith's impressive coding knowledge (he has been coding since high school) he was able to turn this idea into a reality with eMastered.
