ATOM's Flanger is an FX unit that creates a copy of your audio which then gets delayed like a chorus effect, but with a much lower delay time. This Flanged signal is then fed into an LFO and re-connected with the original signal, leading to a unique sound that can be great in sound design.

The Flanger FX unit can be found in the FX section of ATOM:

The unit begins as the fifth FX unit from the top, and can be turned on by clicking the top right power icon or the left-side light in the FX module of the fx rack section:

"Sync," syncs the Flanger effect to the BPM of your DAW.

"Width," determines how wide in the stereo field the Flanged signal is. Lower values make the signal more centered, while higher values make the signal sound wider.

Depth refers to how intensely the Flanger effect is applied, while FDBCK (or feedback) determines how long or short the Flanger effect on the sound is. Higher FDBCK values will have longer "tails," or essentially more decay.

"Mix," is essentially a dry/wet knob for the Flanger. A Mix of 0 means no Flanger effect is applied, while a Mix of 100 means the entire signal is run through the Flanger modulation.
