Can State Rebates be applied to financed loan amount to lower monthly payments?

No, not directly.

Owners of the system accrue SRECs for every 1000 kwh produced. Because we do not know how much kwh will be produced, there cannot be a set rebate amount applied to the financed loan amount.

Example:

New Jersey (NJ) SREC-II (Successor Solar Incentive (SuSI)) : In NJ each SREC is worth $93 in the Susi program for 15 years. You can get them early when system is turned on for a % of the $93 but there is no program where you can directly pass the SREC from homeowner to lender.
