A

Enerflo is a fast-growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company in the Solar & Renewables industry. Our mission is to make solar affordable to everyone on the planet, one well-executed project at a time. Purpose-built for residential solar installers, EPCs and sales teams, the Enerflo Platform helps companies manage and automate their sales and install processes, from lead to Permission to Operate (PTO) and beyond. While there are other companies out there that do some of what Enerflo does, Enerflo is truly unique in the space. The majority of solar companies today use multiple apps, tools and programs, none of which ‘talk’ to each other. What sets Enerflo apart from other companies is our ability to integrate with other apps, tools and programs solar installers and sales dealers already know and love with native Enerflo features to create one comprehensive sales and install platform that creates huge efficiencies -- and ultimately helps lower the cost of solar for the end customer.

API stands for Application Program Interface. API's allow integration partners to push leads into Enerflo on behalf of enerflo clients and supports enerflo redirect functionality when performed in a browser.

B

Responsible for helping Enerflo obtain better brand recognition and financial growth. They coordinate with company executives and sales & marketing professionals to review current market trends in order to propose new business ideas that can improve revenue margins.

C

C​hange Orders make adjustments available to an install after an agreement is signed. This allows installers to change the parameters of an install (like the panel being used, number of panels, etc) and get the customer to sign off on the changes.

Custom Bots collect upfront info from customers, making support much quicker and more efficient than email—and saving your team time and energy. Custom Bots start conversations by using advanced targeting and enrichment, and only engaging the leads you want. Launch a bot to engage high-intent leads, then move qualified leads directly to a conversation to convert faster.

Cloaking means logging in as a certain individual (sales rep, company admin, manager, etc.) within Enerflo and seeing their account and features as if they were logging in themselves.

Companies are another name for Enerflo's partners.

Enerflo mainly uses email and slack to communicate to communicate amongst employees as well as partners. Hours 6am to 9pm PST.

CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management. CRM is a technology for managing all your company's relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers. A CRM system helps companies stay connected to customers, streamline processes, and improve profitability.

New/old referral submission page. This has the basic lead details, referrer name and customer ID.

D

Within the Lead there is a deal that is the big overview of what is being sold that lists various deal types that are set up by which EPC (installer) that has been selected. Deals can have multiple deal types within. The deal includes: proposal, includes loan app and system info and install agreement.

Deal feed is where notifications, updates, and internal design team requests/communication can be found for each deal type in Enerflo. Social Media Feed as an analogy used to explain to partners what the Deal Feed is.

Deal Types are created for each partner to ensure existing deal information is kept together in the same location. A deal type is a way to create a deal with various design teams and/or installers needed to create the customer's proposal. Deal types vary based on installer you need for the project at hand. Typically referred to in surveys.

Solar Dealer Fee is a percentage of the loan added onto the total principal of the loan. A typical dealer fee is 15-25% of the projects cost, which is added to the total loan amount.

Enerflo does not do system designs. All designs are done by third party companies but not affiliated with Enerflo. All design-related questions need to be directed to the contracted design team that the company uses.

Introduce methodologies to balance needs throughout the Enerflo software development life cycle, processes, and tools, from coding to development to maintenance and updates. They monitor health and track everything happening in all system parts during the software lifecycle.

Enerflo tool that employees use to add electronic signatures, annotations and fields so the partners fill out documents online.

Called Contracts at times, these are given to us by the partner in order to upload into DocFlo. We have a naming convention for these when uploading to docflo. Note that Loan Documents generated when a Partner's Customer applies for a loan are NOT handled by Enerflo, and thus not part of Docflo.

Cloaking under a Sales Company and navigating to the Company Settings, under the General Settings tab there is a Duplicate Lead Policy setting. When a company does not want multiple leads with the same address this setting can be set to Block Dupe Addresses or Give Warning.

Enerflo

Tasks include interacting with customers over chat and email, building relationships with decision makers, providing occasional training and best practices. Throughout these interactions one must maintain a high level professionalism and present Enerflo in the best light possible.

EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and is a prominent form of contracting agreement in the construction industry. In solar industry EPC term is used for providing end-to-end solar services from designing the system, procuring the components and installing the project. So this is the Installer. Company responsible for physicially installing the system.

Guru Cards are short, specific, verified by experts within Enerflo, and easy to share. There is the ability to create new Cards, Card Templates, and Migrate and/or Sync existing content into Guru Cards.Guru Cards are used to document information and/or steps for troubleshooting any issues encountered in chat that one can reference.

Sales rep receives this error when trying to view the proposal if their state sales rep license information has not been added on their account.

Person who owns their own home, customer to solar companies. Address lead as homeowner. Enerflo customers refers to the companies that are our partners.

HubSpot is a software platform designed to help your company market and sell more effectively. Ex. Hubspot is where tickets for Enerflo are created, Inbound emails are resolved, and various information is stored. HubSpot offers that original software in the form of a complete CRM, which includes specific software and tools for sales, marketing, service, and operations teams, PLUS an epic content management system (the HubSpot CMS).

I

Trainees actively focus on new language in clever dialogues, conversations, and reading excercises to learn about Enerflo and how it works.

Install agreement is a signed agreement between person(s) and a solar power installation company that clearly outlines every part of the solar panel installation process, including the steps before, during, and after the actual installation, and who is responsible for each.

Once the lead has a signed deal and an active install, users can also add notes in the install tracker for each milestone. (See screenshot below). Notes in the install tracker can be visible to customers if the "Customer Facing box" is checked so if users want to keep these notes internally, they need to make sure that box is not checked.

Enerflo is a growing US-based B2B SAAS company currently disrupting the residential solar sales and installation industry.
We are looking for an experienced CRM Integrations Developer to join the Enerflo team. You should have a strong sense of application usability and quality and have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ideal candidates should be able to work as integral members of a team but can also work independently.
This position, like our entire team, is 100% remote. You should be comfortable with tight deadlines and multitasking. Working hours are flexible but we expect you to be available to collaborate with your teammates as appropriate during business hours and to participate in regular meetings and stand-ups via Slack and Zoom. We expect our engineers to "bring your own equipment". You'll need a reliable internet connection and a computer capable of running modern software development and remote communications tools such as Docker, Slack, and Zoom.

Intercom is a Customer Communications Platform. It makes it easy to personally communicate with Enerflo partners about targeted content, behavior-driven messages, and conversational support. As a chat support specialist this is the medium that Enerflo users will reach out for assistance.

L

Within various CRM systems a lead is a person. In the solar space, a lead is a physical address where a solar installation could potentially occur and the responsible person(s) living at that address is a contact. New leads can be generated in Enerflo via the New Leads link in the menu bar of the user's Enerflo instance. Leads may also be imported via the Lead API (see documentation link below).

Primary contact name, phone number, and email are listed in the upper left of the Lead page. A secondary contact, which often times is the spouse, may be added to the lead in the Edit Lead Details box lower down on the Lead page. It is common that the two contacts on the same lead will be the primary and secondary borrowers or signers on agreements, loans, and the like.

Page that demonstrates the primary contact name, phone number, and email. There may also be a secondary contact listed here such as a spouse. In the solar space, a lead is a physical address where a solar installation could potentially occur and the responsible person(s) living at that address is a contact. New leads can be generated in Enerflo via the New Leads link in the menu bar of the user's Enerflo instance. Leads may also be imported via the Lead AP.

Legacy

Also sometimes called V1, this is Enerflo as most of the company knows it.

Integrated lender means that Enerflo is leveraging the lender’s API - Application Protocol Interface (a way for Enerflo to talk to the lender and exchange information). If integration is turned on, then Enerflo is getting the payment numbers directly from the partner which then continues the application page directly from the Financing Terms page within Enerflo.

Non-integrated lender means that Enerflo is using payment factor numbers/ a tool that is coded in to calculate the pricing. Then this information must be pivoted to the lender's portal separately to start the actual loan process. From the finance terms page, the next page on Enerflo will be the Install Tracker, not the application page.

LMS stands for Learning Management System. This is where Enerflo users can go to learn more of how to use the platform by watching videos and taking quizzes. Employee training videos are found here and will help any user become an Enerflo expert.

M

Serves as the face of Enerflo, coordinating and producing all materials representing the Enerflo. It is the Marketing Department's job to reach out to prospects, customers, investors and/or the community, while creating an overarching image that represents Enerflo in a positive light.

N

Person on the bill is not the person buying the system. i.e. a renter is paying the utility bill, the owner of the residence is buying solar. Allow NEM Signer will allow the sales rep to put in the name of the person on the utility bill if it is different than who is buying the solar system. This will trigger a 3rd signer process to have the NEM signer(the person who's name is on the utility bill) sign any required utility and interconnection docs.

Billing arrangement that allows solar panel owners to receive credits for the excess energy their panels generate and send back to the grid. Under net metering, when the solar panels produce more energy than the household uses, the excess electricity is sent to the grid and the owner is credited for that excess electricity at the retail rate. Later, when the solar panels are not producing enough electricity to meet the household's needs, the owner can draw electricity from the grid and use those credits to offset the cost of that electricity. Net metering essentially allows solar panel owners to "bank" excess energy and use it later when they need it.

O

Process each partner goes through when signing onto Enerflo. This is the start of the partner's time with Enerflo and is the step before going Live.

Onboarding Specialist’s goal is to onboard new partners into the Enerflo platform. Tasks include data and document collection from partners, interacting with customers and team members, and customizing the application while meeting deadlines. This role will report to the Onboarding Lead and Project Manager, working closely with the sales engineer, onboarding trainer and live teams to help support our growing solar SaaS platform. Our employees not only need to have the skillset, they also need to have the right attitude and mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, growing and changing environment.

How we in Enerflo refer to the End Users of our software. These are the customers of Enerflo, but we dont refer to them as customers.

Partner Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing business via outbound calls to businesses that are current or potential solar installers or solar sales organizations. This individual will drive the lead qualification engine and report to the Head of Sales Operations to help support our growing solar SaaS platform. The Partner Development Representative is a critical role for both sales and marketing and acts as a conduit between the lead generation programs from marketing to the sales team. You’re often our partner’s first experience with Enerflo so you need to be able to make a great first impression by providing relevant industry and service knowledge. Our employees not only need to have the skillset, they also need to have the right attitude and mindset to thrive in a fast-paced, growing and changing environment.

Helps in Determining Return, Determines Demand, Sales Volume and Market Share, Countering Competition, Builds Product Image and A Tool of Sales Promotion. Unique position to provide a profitability perspective to pricing. Act as change agents, internalize value-based pricing and motivate the organizational changes required to support it. They are able to help colleagues understand the value reflected in prices.

Project Milestones show progression of the solar development from beginning to end. The Install Milestone Mapping UI can be found when not cloaked - search a company and go to their Integrations tab - any integrations that is a CRM integration should have a Edit in User-friendly Interface button

A design proposal is a document or a series of slides that set out your plan for a design project. Normally requested by clients, it's a way for them to compare the value that different designers are offering them. Proposal writers wil draft new documents and create edits for patners within Enerflo to persuade the solar enthusiast to support their particular contract and enter into a business agreement.

The Partner Success Manager’s job is to help new and existing partners grow and become more efficient by utilizing existing Enerflo functionality. They also must retain existing accounts (Partners) by identifying the value partners receive from Enerflo and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction, success and growth.

Estimates the energy production and cost of energy of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) energy systems. Because Enerflo's Optimus Proposal uses PVWatts, it allows you to adjust the design on the fly with the homeowner based upon a "standard" calculation.

Q

Creates tests that identify issues with software before a product launch. These tests entail other tasks such as developing and running new tests and reporting their results to stakeholders, who will collaborate to fix program bugs or problems.

Collection of links to frequently used Enerflo pages, which allow users to complete common actions.

Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials. Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders. When the organization looks to make a hire, recruiters within the HR department assume this responsibility by creating job listings, screening candidates and setting up interviews.

Questionnaire information that is required to be answered before the Enerflo proposal will populate to move forward.

Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) requires electricity suppliers to secure a portion of their electricity from solar generators.

Provide customers with information about solar-powered equipment and Enerflo software. They are usually the first point of contact with customers and provide detailed information about cost savings and energy incentives relating to solar-powered products and equipment.

Company who offers customers sales information about solar-powered products and equipment.

SendGrid -- a software used by Enerflo to send emails to Partners, homeowners, and internal Enerflo employees. To sign into SendGrid you will need access to the credentials contained in 1Password.

Sentry is Open-source error tracking that helps developers to monitor, fix crashes in real time. Before you can fix an error, you need to find it. And if finding errors is like looking for a needle in a code haystack, then Sentry's error monitoring is a metal detector. With it, you can now diagnose, fix, and optimize your code to meet the demands of your customers.

Setter does not have the ability to sign agreements or close deals. Setter focuses entirely on setting appointments for the other sales rep, known as the closer, will follow up with set appointments to make the sale.

Slack is a messaging app Enerflo employees use that connects people to the information they need. Slack brings people together to work as one unified team and get tasks done quickly. *I emailed Julia about updating the guru card that is attached to this section.

Help make Enerflo the best product it can possibly be. Whether you are backend-focused, frontend-focused, full-stack, or just really love devops and cloud infrastructure we have a place for you. Our tech stack is a mix of NodeJS, Typescript, PHP, React, and Postgres running on AWS.

Team of people who create solar designs. Solar companies can contract through design companies such as HelioQuote, SOLO, Sunnova, and SPS to create these solar designs for them. Solar designs are then uploaded to a proposal.

Design tool is the software that is used to create the solar design for each deal type. Each design team uses design tools to create solar designs.

SRECs are sold separately from the physical electricity that your solar panels produce. Think of them like a “voucher” that proves that the electricity from your solar panels is renewable. You earn one SREC for every 1,000 kWh (or 1 MWh) of electricity produced by a solar system.

A Scope of Work is to flush out all details of changes/work being requested with Partner. Verify with applicable Enerflo Internal Team (Live/DevOps/etc.) to ensure work can be completed and work is priced correctly (See Billing Matrix example sheet)

T

TPO stands for third party owned. Enerflo supports the ability to price out Third Party Owned products. The most common lender we support is Sunnova with or without integration enabled. Other lenders that offer TPO products are SunRun and IGS Financial but we do not have any integration with these lenders at the moment.

Tickets are how we submit requests within Enerflo. Tickets go to different departments based on what is needed, and can be submitted by just about anyone in Enerflo.

Setting that can be switched between two different options by performing a single action (such as selecting a menu option or pressing a key) toggle.

U

User role is a predefined category that can be assigned to users on the basis of their job title or some other criteria.

User Interface (UI)

User interface is the visual and interactive part of a website, software, or application that allows users to interact with and use the system effectively. It serves as a bridge between the user and the underlying functionality of the system. Part of the UI is the Navigation Bar, Home Page, Dashboard, Help and Support, Responsive Design, Error Handling, User Account Management, and so forth.

V

Newest iteration of Enerflo, only a a few partners are using V2 of Enerflo right now.
