How to add a zip code to an existing market for an EPC

Sometimes reps will come into chat and tell you a specific installer (EPC) is not showing in the dropdown in the design request (this section can have different names) although the installer installs in that market.

First, we can try to confirm this by:

  1. Going to the Market tester for the EPC and paste the customer's zip code to see if the installer installs in that market: Example: Suntuity Searching for Installer Markets.

  2. Going to the sales company and checking their markets to see if this EPC is turned on/off for this company: Example: Vivint Market Tester

Note: If a market has been turned off for a sales company, you will see that the installer shows up when you cloak into the EPC, but it does not show up when you cloak into the sales company)

After doing the steps above, you can reach out to the PSM for that EPC so they can confirm directly with the EPC if they install in that market or not.

Here is this Google sheet that has a list of EPCs and the assigned PSM. If you do not have access to this, you can reach out to a PSM or the Support team so they can share it with you. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ldK7pa9_YlJgpmceYiCyjhBcuPNKAGWKIYlZfTegr4w/edit#gid=1711920427

Once you receive a confirmation from the PSM that they do install in that market, you can add this zip code to the installer's markets. Heres how to do that:

Note: Never do this action without the PSM's authorization.

  1. Cloak into the installer

  2. Go to EPC >> settings/span>

3- Go to Markets

/span>

4- Search the name of the Market. Please confirm the name of the market with the PSM. Sometimes it's just the name of the state, but in some other cases, it can be the name of the warehouse. It's always good to confirm with the PSM and make sure we add the zip code where it should be. For example in this case, I want to add a zip code for the state of Arizona, but the market is under the warehouse's name, Phoenix,

5- Click on "Edit" next to the market you want to edit

/span>

6-Click on "Edit territory"

/span>

7- Click on "Add zips"

/span>

8- Add the zip code and click on "add"

/span>

9- Go back to the deal and make sure the EPC is now showing in the dropdown.

/span>

Note: Thanks for Brittany for walking me through the steps on how to add a market for an EPC!
