Goodleap feature - auto updating loan amount when agreements are signed

Enerflo's Goodleap API integration includes a feature that auto updates the loan amount in Goodleap if it changes before or even after an installer agreement was signed and voided. This loan amount change will trigger Goodleap to void out an existing loan doc (signed or not signed) and resend a new one with the updated amount. This is so that the rep doesn't have to go through the application process all over again to update loan docs.

However, some installers do not like this feature and would rather manage the loan amount through the Goodleap portal themselves and thus, there is an option to disable it in the Goodleap lender option. (see screenshot below) The ability to disable this feature was released on June 18, 2021

Here is an example flow of how this works

  1. Customer applies for a Goodleap loan through enerflo for an amount of $35,000. He/she is approved and is sent an email with loan docs to sign. At the same time, an opportunity/project is created in the Goodleap portal

  2. The customer may or may not sign the loan docs (this step doesn't matter)

  3. Customer then signs install agreements.

  4. If for some reason, the loan amount needs to change, the rep can void the install agreement to make changes on the proposal. Let's say he/she changes it to $36,500.

  5. When the updated install agreement is signed, we automatically send Goodleap the new loan amount of $36,500 and Goodleap automatically voids the old loan doc and sends a new one with the updated loan amount.
