If you're having problems not seeing popups for chats or designs, you might be able to solve this by checking your browser configuration settings. Follow these instructions if you are using Google Chrome as your browser.

Change site settings permissions

You can set permissions for a site without changing your default settings.

Computer

Manage site permissions

You can easily allow or deny site permissions. You can also grant one-time permissions for specific features.

When a site asks permission to use features like camera, location, and microphone, you can:

  • Allow this time: The site will be able to use the requested feature only during your current visit. However, the site will need to ask again on future visits.

  • Allow while visiting the site: The site will be able to use the requested feature during your current visit as well as during future visits.

  • Never allow: The site can't use the requested feature.

Change settings for all sites

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. At the top right, select More /span> /span> Settings.

  3. Select Privacy and security /span> Site settings.

  4. Select the setting you want to update.

To change permissions and data storage on all sites you’ve visited, you can also select View permissions and data stored across sites.

Change settings for a specific site

You can allow or block permissions for a specific site. The site will use its settings instead of the default settings. You can also delete data for a site.

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.

  2. Go to a site.

  3. To the left of the web address, select View site information /span>.

  4. Select Site settings.

  5. Change a permission setting.

Tips:

  • Your changes save automatically.

  • After you select the icon next to the web address, previously saved site settings open. You can change them without going to the “Site settings” menu in Chrome.

  • If the Reset permissions button is available, you can select the button to reset your changed preferences.

  • To protect your data, Chrome removes permissions from sites you haven't used recently.

Block or allow pop-ups in Chrome

By default, Google Chrome blocks pop-ups from automatically showing up on your screen. When a pop-up is blocked, the address bar will be marked Pop-up blocked /span>. You can also decide to allow pop-ups.

If you still get pop-ups after disabling them:

  • You may have previously subscribed to receive notifications from a site. You can block notifications if you don’t want any communications from a site to show up on your screen. Learn how to manage your notifications.

Change your default pop-ups & redirects settings

    1. On your computer, open Chrome.

    2. At the top right, click More /span> /span> Settings.

    3. Click Privacy and security /span> Site Settings /span> Pop-ups and redirects.

    4. Choose the option that you want as your default setting.

Manage pop-ups & redirects for a specific site

Not all pop-ups are ads or spam. Some legitimate websites display web content in pop-up windows.
