On the design stage, there will be a button that says "Existing System." Click this and enter in the required information.

The actual requirements needed here are the Annual Production and the Total System Size, but we do give you the opportunity to record the manufacturer if you happen to know, as well as the counts and capacities.
Once you have added the existing system information, click save. Then, click the +New Design button on the upper right corner to open a design card. You can select to upload a manual design, or choose one of your other design tools to create the design.

Once the design is created, you will have a design that should show the existing system information. Make sure that you add a battery on your manual upload or on your design from another tool.

But don't designs require me to have arrays, inverters, modules, etc? I won't need those for battery only deals?
You're definitely right, which is why the design form will recognize that if there is an existing system, it no longer needs to have all of it's usual requirements. It will require the design to have some new element, either at least one battery or at least one array.
