Markets delineate where Sales Orgs can sell for an EPC and can be used to target adders, discounts, and equipment.
Any EPC user with Admin permissions can add or update the Installer's markets. To set up install markets, click Settings > Installer > Installer Markets. /span>
Create New Markets
To create a new Market, click + New next to the search bar to the upper left of the map. This will open a box for you to give the new market a name. Once you've named the market, you can either click on the states in the map to add them to the States field or you can type the state initials into the States field. You'll notice that the states turn light blue once they are added to the market. You can also enter zip codes for greater specificity. The map does not change when you add your zip codes. With your market defined, click Save near the bottom right corner of the map. *If you are adding an entire state just add the name of the state, not the zip codes for the state.

Adding Radius and Donut Markets
/span>
To add a radius or donut market, you'll need to specify an address to serve as the center point for your radius rule. Most commonly this will be the warehouse location for the installation teams in that market. After specifying the address for the center point, you'll specify the From and To in miles as to how far the radius extends. If it should be a solid circle, start with 0 for the To, but if it should be a Donut market (perhaps if you have travel adders to set up) you can start it at a different point.
If you're not familiar with radius rules, here's some guidelines on how they work: If you set up a donut (for example, from 50mi to 100mi), the partner will be able to set up a deal anywhere within that ring, but they will NOT be able to set up a deal anywhere that is less than 50 miles away from your starting point. If you need them to be able to create deals in both the "donut" and the "donut hole," you'll have to create two separate markets (for example, one that is from 0mi to 50mi, plus one that is from 50mi to 100mi).
β
You're also able to set rules that the radius should only apply to specific states, or exclude particular zip codes if need be. If you have added a specific zip code to the market higher up on the page, and then try to exclude it from the radius, it will cancel out your exclusion until you remove the zip code from the earlier section.
/span>
Note: DO NOT use the state or zip codes above the radius section to try to exclude items from the radius--if I were to add the state of PA in the main "States" section at the top of the market configuration screen, instead of adding it to "Limit to States," the entire state of PA would be included PLUS the radius. Makes the radius kind of moot, especially if you're trying to use that radius to set up a travel adder.
When setting up a travel adder using radius and donut markets, all you'll need to do is specify the market in question in that adders pricing options /span>
Edit Existing Markets
You can also edit existing markets. In the market list below the search bar, click on the market you wish to edit. Under the left corner of the map, you will see the Name of the market. Next to the name you will see an edit icon. Click it to edit the name. Update the market territory by adding or removing states and zip codes. Click save to save your changes.
