How to change equipment on an Aerialytic Design

How to change the panel, inverter, or battery on an existing Aerialytic design in Enerflo by using the Modify Design option to create a new design with updated equipment.

Written by Enerflo Support
  1. Click on the design you would like to change the equipment on.

  2. On the Right Hand side, select "Modify Design"

  3. You'll see a toggle to choose to update existing or create new design.

    1. This choice isn't always available. If the design was created with an older version of the production calculation engine, or the design is linked to a previously finalized proposal, you'll need to select "create new" (clone the design) to make changes — "update existing" won't be an option, and previously finalized designs are view-only until cloned. Cloning preserves your original design in case you need to revert.

  4. Consumption Profiles and batteries can be edited when updating existing designs. If you would like to change the inverter or panel, create new design will need to be selected.

  5. You'll be able to update the racking buffer, row spacing, panel tilt, fill mode, consumption profile, panel, inverter, and battery when creating a new design.

  6. If your design uses multiple string inverters, you can choose Auto to let Aerialytic determine the inverter quantity needed, or manually override the quantity yourself. This option is greyed out for micro-inverters, since quantity isn't applicable. If a manually set quantity can't support the rest of the design, you'll see a clipping/overshoot warning — reduce the panel count or increase the inverter quantity to resolve it.

  7. Make your selections and then click 'create design'

  8. Let the system load. This may take a minute or two as it is rerunning the AI with the new equipment options.

  9. The new design with the updated equipment should now be completed. If you select Equipment from the right hand side, you will see the updated equipment listed.
