What Climate First Bank Will and Won't Finance

Climate First Bank will finance solar systems as well as several common add-ons:

  • Solar systems

  • Roof replacement

  • Battery storage

  • Ground mounts, pergolas, and carports

  • HVAC (requires manual review)

  • Tesla Solar Roofs (requires manual review)

The following items are not eligible for financing:

  • Water heaters

  • Pool pumps

  • Generators

  • Home improvement items (windows, doors, attic fans, gutters, full structural upgrades)

  • Tree trimming or removal

Approved Vendor List (AVL)

Climate First Bank requires that all solar panels, inverters, and battery storage used on financed projects come from brands on their Approved Vendor List. The AVL is enforced for any loan application submitted on or after April 15, 2026. Existing projects submitted before that date are not affected.

The full AVL can be found at www.oneethos.com/avl.

To request that a brand be added to the AVL, use the form at the link above. Allow up to 60 days for review. Brands that are currently in the review process will continue to be accepted during that period.

πŸ’‘ Note: When submitting a loan application on or after April 15, 2026, the brand name for all solar panels, inverters, and battery storage must be included on the contract. Applications using brands not on the AVL will not be accepted.

Smart Pulls Requirement

Unlike other integrated financiers, Smart Pulls must be enabled for the Climate First Bank integration to function. Smart Pulls run a soft credit check that helps pre-qualify the homeowner before the deal progresses, speeding up the approval process and flagging deals with poor credit or high debt-to-income ratios early.

If your org does not have Smart Pulls enabled, contact your Enerflo admin or Partner Success Manager.

Sales Rep Credentials

Each sales rep assigned to a Climate First Bank deal must have a corresponding email in the OneEthos portal. If the email on the rep's Enerflo account differs from their OneEthos account, they will need to add the correct email in their integration settings:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Org > Users and search for the rep.

  2. Click into their profile and open the Integrations tab.

  3. Locate the Climate First Bank settings and enter the correct email address.
