What's the Difference Between Tiered Pick Sheet and Salary Cap Picksheet?

There are two roster formats available in PGA Majors Tiers contests:

Tiered Pick Sheet

  • Your roster consists of 6 golfers

  • You must select one golfer from each tier

  • Tiers are grouped based on World Golf Rankings

How it works:

  • Each tier contains a set of golfers

  • You choose one player per tier

  • All entries follow the same tier structure

Best for:

  • Simpler lineup building

  • Balanced selections across skill levels

Cannot Do:

  • The commissioner DOES NOT have the ability to edit their Tiers

  • Cannot edit the golfers within each tier

  • Cannot edit golfers score

Salary Cap Pick Sheet

  • Each golfer is assigned a salary value

  • You can select any 6 golfers

  • Your total lineup must stay under the salary cap

How it works:

  • No tiers — full player contest available

  • You manage your budget to build the best lineup

Best for:

  • More strategy and flexibility

  • Creating unique or high-risk lineups

Cannot Do:

  • Cannot edit golfers salary within picksheet

  • Cannot edit within picksheet

  • Cannot edit golfers score

Key Difference

  • Tiered Pick Sheet: Pick 1 golfer per tier

  • Salary Cap Pick Sheet: Build any lineup within a budget

Summary

  • Choose Tiered for a structured, simpler format

  • Choose Salary Cap for more control and strategy in lineup building
