Entertainment-Only: Why Was I Charged for Entries Without Picks?

Explains why commissioners are billed for entries that were created but never had picks submitted, and how to remove empty entries before paying.

Why Was I Charged for Entries Without Picks?

As a commissioner, you may notice that your invoice includes entries that never had picks submitted. Here's why โ€” and how to avoid it next time.

How Entry Billing Works

Entries are counted and billed as soon as they are created, regardless of whether picks were ever submitted. This is because commissioners retain the ability to enter picks on behalf of members at any point during the contest window.

Empty entries also do not appear on the standings page, which can make it hard to notice them before you pay.

How to Find and Remove Empty Entries

Before submitting payment, we recommend reviewing your entry list and removing any entries with no picks:

  1. Go to Commissioner Console โ†’ Member Management

  2. Filter by the "Entries W/ Picks" column and look for entries showing 0 picks

  3. Click the pencil icon next to the member

  4. Select Manage Entries & Picks

  5. Under Options, click the 3 dots next to the empty entry

  6. Select Delete Entry

Once removed, your total entry count โ€” and invoice โ€” will update accordingly.

What If I've Already Been Charged?

If you were charged for empty entries that were never used, please contact our commissioner support team and we'll review your case. Include the contest name and a description of the issue.

Tip for Future Contests

Before locking your contest and submitting payment, always do a quick check in Member Management for any entries with 0 picks. This takes just a minute and ensures your invoice reflects only legitimate entries.
