Initial Thiamis Configuration

You may need to create an initial Thiamis configuration when you own a new unit or after a unit is Reset which only require basic name, description and reporting interval fields.

The Configuration page gives you full control over your Thiamis and any sensors.

Thiamis Configuration Panel

The Thiamis configuration panel configuration fields and options toggle several parameters on or off:

Name and Description

For when you've moved your Thiamis, or just decided on a new name to better fit it's personality, you can change the name and description.

Reporting Interval

The reporting interval determines how often data is collected and reported. It affects all data collected on the Thiamis.

WiFi Setup

Click on the refresh symbol to scan the local area for nearby WiFi networks. Choose your WiFi SSID name and enter the password. If your network is not broadcasted, you can manually enter the name and click on it to choose it.

When you initially add WiFi, the credentials need to be pushed to the device via a cell signal. After you hit save, wait a few minutes for your Thiamis to be updated and switch over to WiFi.

If you are deploying the Thiamis in an area without cellular coverage, then you must do these steps or preload the credentials beforehand.

Onboard Sensors

You can toggle whether the battery voltage, atmospheric pressure and temperature are reported from the onboard sensors.

Location

Your location is Automatically determined using GPS and WiFi information but when that's unavailable, you can toggle to Manual to enter an address or coordinates to set the location.

*Shared Devices

Please note, you will not be able to Configure devices which are Shared with you, regardless of your Role. You can only Configure devices which your Organization owns or leases.
