Regarding Sponsor Messages in Texts
All StudioTexter lines are fully registered, verified, and vetted through The Campaign Registry to ensure compliance when sending messages.
When a listener signs up by texting a keyword (e.g., "Text WOLF to 999-999-9999"), they are clearly informed that:
They will receive recurring marketing messages.
Messages may include sponsored content or partner promotions.
"Msg & data rates may apply" is disclosed.
A link to your Privacy Policy and Terms of Service is provided.
If you’re messaging users already in your database, they opted in by texting your studio line and have consented to receive promotional and sponsored messages.
Best Practices for Sending Messages
Avoid USING ALL CAPS - These can trigger the phone carriers' spam filters.
Prohibited Content - Never include adult, hate, cannabis/CBD, illegal, or deceptive offers.
Limit frequency to reduce opt-outs and avoid being flagged as spam.
Always include a clear opt-out option - The text in the message can be "Reply STOP to unsubscribe", for example.
Keep messages under 160 characters to avoid multiple message charges (for SMS).
Use branded or reputable URL shorteners (avoid free or untrusted ones).
Respect quiet hours – It is best to not send messages before 8 AM or after 9 PM in the recipient’s local timezone.
Test your message first using the StudioTexter platform's “Compose Message” feature in the "Messages" section, or by creating a temporary keyword to check formatting and links.
Transparent Sponsorship
You’re allowed to include sponsor mentions in your messages, as long as they’re relevant and not misleading. Here is an example:
"Brought to you by Joe’s Auto – free oil change with tire rotation. Tap for details!"
Keep it brief, clear, and always include value for your audience.
