✅ Before You Start (Eligibility Requirements)

Apple will only allow the transfer if:

  • The account is an Organization (not Individual)

  • The new Account Holder:

    • Is an existing team member

    • Has the Admin role

    • Has accepted the latest Apple agreements

    • Has two-factor authentication enabled

  • The membership is active and in good standing

⚠️ If the account is an Individual, the Account Holder cannot be changed — Apple requires creating a new account.


🔧 Step-by-Step: Transfer the Account Holder

Step 1 — Current Account Holder signs in

Have the current Account Holder log into:


Step 2 — Go to Membership Details

Navigate to:

  • Account

  • Membership Details

  • Look for Transfer Account Holder role


Step 3 — Verify the new person is eligible

Before transfer, confirm the new holder:

  • Is listed under Users and Access

  • Has Admin role
