Welcome to episki! This guide will walk you through your first steps.

Step 1: Explore Your Workspace

After logging in, you’ll land on your workspace dashboard. Here you’ll see:

• Your active tasks and issues
• Assessment progress
• Program health metrics

Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the navigation.

Step 2: Set Up a Framework

Before you can start tracking compliance, you need a framework.

  1. Go to Frameworks in the sidebar

  2. Click Add Framework

  3. Import a pre-built framework or create a custom one

  4. Review the controls within your framework

Step 3: Create Your First Assessment

Ready to evaluate your compliance? Create an assessment:

  1. Go to Assessments

  2. Click Add Assessment

  3. Select the framework you want to assess against

  4. Set a due date for completion

  5. Start working through controls

Step 4: Work Through Controls

For each control in your assessment:

  1. Read the control description and testing procedures

  2. Write a response explaining how you meet the requirement

  3. Attach artifacts (evidence files) to support your response

  4. If you find a gap, create a task or issue to track remediation

  5. Move to the next control

Step 5: Set Up Ongoing Monitoring (Optional)

To maintain compliance between assessments, you can create a program:

  1. Go to Programs

  2. Click Add Program

  3. Select your framework

  4. Set up recurring tasks for each control that needs regular attention

  5. Assign owners to tasks

  6. Monitor program health on your dashboard
