Welcome to episki! This guide will walk you through your first steps.
Step 1: Explore Your Workspace
After logging in, you’ll land on your workspace dashboard. Here you’ll see:
• Your active tasks and issues
• Assessment progress
• Program health metrics
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the navigation.
Step 2: Set Up a Framework
Before you can start tracking compliance, you need a framework.
Go to Frameworks in the sidebar
Click Add Framework
Import a pre-built framework or create a custom one
Review the controls within your framework
Step 3: Create Your First Assessment
Ready to evaluate your compliance? Create an assessment:
Go to Assessments
Click Add Assessment
Select the framework you want to assess against
Set a due date for completion
Start working through controls
Step 4: Work Through Controls
For each control in your assessment:
Read the control description and testing procedures
Write a response explaining how you meet the requirement
Attach artifacts (evidence files) to support your response
If you find a gap, create a task or issue to track remediation
Move to the next control
Step 5: Set Up Ongoing Monitoring (Optional)
To maintain compliance between assessments, you can create a program:
Go to Programs
Click Add Program
Select your framework
Set up recurring tasks for each control that needs regular attention
Assign owners to tasks
Monitor program health on your dashboard
