Equigate has a built in payment processor, for this we use Stripe. Stripe do charge a fee for processing payments, you can find the fees relevant to your country here.

By signing up to receive card payments you are giving your clients more ways to pay you, which essentially giving you more chance of getting paid.

You don't have to use this feature, but it's there to opt in to if you wanted.
