Adding a New User to the T3 System

Instructions on adding new users to your company's dashboard in T3.

A user can be added to T3 by an Owner, Admin, or Manager in one of two ways.

  • Add User - Recommended when adding a single user to the T3 system.

  • Bulk Add - Recommended when adding multiple users to the T3 system.

Once the new user is added to the system, they will receive a Welcome to T3 email.

Adding a New User

  • From the T3 Fleet web app, select Company in the left menu.

  • Select the Users tab.

  • Select the Add User button.

  • The Add a New User form will display. Complete the required fields:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

    • Phone Number (Optional)

  • Expand the Advanced user settings for more optional settings.

    • Branch Assignment - select from a list of existing company branches to which the user is assigned.

    • Cell Phone Number - add the user's cell phone number, which allows them to receive configured SMS text alerts.

    • Employee ID - the employee's ID

    • Timezone - select the user's time zone to display throughout their T3 experience.

    • Employee Schedule - indicate the user's work schedule for using the T3 time tracking solution. For more information, see Schedules and Overtime Rules.

    • Employee Overtime Rule - indicate the user's overtime rule, if applicable, for using the T3 time tracking solution. For more information, see Schedules and Overtime Rules.

    • Does this user only track time via Work Orders? - enable this option if the user will be tracking time towards Work Orders, but does not need access to the T3 Time Cards product.

  • Click Create

  • The new user will display in the Users table and default to a User role. The new user will receive a Welcome email.

Note: A User role is given their login and can see the assets assigned to them through Groups. For more information, see Creating a Group. The User role cannot edit, add or view other users. To update the User role, see Updating a User

Adding Users in Bulk

  • From the T3 Fleet web app, select Company in the left menu.

  • Select the Users tab.

  • Select the Bulk Add button.

  • Select the Download sample CSV button, which will automatically download an example file for you to fill in your user's information.

  • From your computer, open the sample CSV file from your Downloads.

  • Within each row, enter the required information for each user.

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Email Address

  • You may also enter optional fields if you would like.

    • Timezone

    • Employee ID

    • Phone Number

    • Cell Phone Number

    • Group

  • Once you are done, save the file to your computer.

  • Return to the Bulk Add Users page in T3 and Select or drag and drop a file into the CSV File Upload field.

  • The user data will immediately display in the previewer panel with the total number of users detected, ready to invite, users needing attention and total issues.

  • Issues will be noted in red text and can be identified quickly by toggling the Show rows with errors as ON.

  • Expand the row to make the updates and correct any issues. Select the Update button when making changes in the previewer panel.

  • Once all issues are addressed, select Upload.

  • The new users will display in the Users table and default to a User role. The new users will receive a Welcome email.
