As an E-Logs driver's Administrator, you must complete the following to ensure your company stays compliant with FMCSA regulations. All can be done quickly within T3's E-Logs web app.

  • Identify issues & violations for your drivers, including HOS violations, logs missing signatures, and DVIRs.

  • Review DVIRs to check any defects and their status.

  • Check operational driver statuses, such as pairing and mobile app version information.

Identify Issues & Violations with Driver's Daily Logs

  • From the E-Logs web app of T3, select Logs in the left menu. Your driver's daily logs will display for the month.

  • Review the Issues column to see if any HOS violations, logs missing signatures, or any logs missing DVIRs exist.

    • Tip: Use the filter icon in the column header to identify logs by violation type.

  • To review a specific log, find the row in the table, select the ellipsis in the far right, and then View this day's records.

  • A preview of the day's logs will display, providing more information about any existing issues so you can work with the driver to remedy the problem.

Note: If you review logs with missing DVIRs, navigate to DVIRs > Logs without DVIRs for more information.

Review DVIRs for Unresolved Defects

  • From the E-Logs web app of T3, select DVIRs in the left menu. Your driver's DVIRs will display for the last seven days.

  • Check the Status column, which will show any Unresolved defects; the Defect columns will display a list of defects.

  • Select any row to open an existing Unresolved DVIR for review.

    • The DVIR will show the driver who completed the DVIR, the vehicle number, the date DVIR was completed, and any notes/images about the defect.

    • A link to the Work Order will display and, once clicked, will open the WO in the Service feature of the Fleet browser app.

  • Research the WO ticket to understand the status of the defects and follow up with the service department or driver for any questions.

    • If the defect has been worked but has not officially been closed, you may complete the DVIR by selecting the Resolve Issue button or contacting the driver to close the DVIR from the E-Logs mobile app. This will switch the DVIR status to Resolved.

Check the Driver's Operational Status

  • Select Drivers in the left menu from the E-Logs web app of T3. Your drivers will display in a table format.

  • Review the Current Asset column to check the pairing status.

    • Pairing ensures the driver is recording logs via the E-Logs mobile app.

    • If unpaired, the system will identify the last pairing date, if applicable. Reach out to the driver to let them know they are unpaired. For more information, see Setting or Pairing a Vehicle to the E-Logs mobile app.

  • Review the Device Type column to ensure your driver's apps are updated.

  • Lastly, review the Cycle, Shift, Drive, and Break columns to be aware of any drivers that have cycle violations.

    • Any violations will display in red text.

  • Click within the row to review the driver's timeline of logs for the day, including when violations occurred.

    • Follow up with your driver to let them know they are in violation.

Tip: Did you know you can communicate using Messages in the E-Logs browser app with your driver?

Select the Messages tab from the left menu in the E-Logs browser app, find the driver, and send your message. It will ship to their E-Logs mobile app.
