Dynamic Rules: A tool that allows us to automate enrollment within Escal8, whether when a new user is registered or added to a group.

1. On the admin menu, click on the “Dynamic rules” option.

2. Click on the “Add” button.

3. Choose where you want the students to be enrolled to:

  • Courses

  • Learning paths

  • Certifications

*For this example we’re using courses

4. Give a name to the rule.

5. Select what’s going to be the trigger for the rule:

  • Register user.

  • Add to a group: You’ll need to indicate which group.

*For this example we’re using Register user

6. Search and add the courses you want students to get enrolled once they’re registered.

7. Choose the format you want to set for due date:

  • Date: Specific date.

  • Days: Number of days after they get enrolled.

*For this example we’re using days.

8. Indicate the number of days to complete the courses.

9. Indicate when will this apply:

  • Now

  • In a date

  • After days of

*For this example we’re using “Now”

10. Click on the “Save” button. Then you’re all set!

After that, everytime a new user is registered, it will automatically be enrolled in the course and will have 5 days to complete it.

Note: Dynamic rules will always run in the order that they are created. (older rules first then the new ones)
