After you confirm an applicant for a shift, the CNA, STNA, LNA, GNA, LPN, or RN will be notified that they've been accepted for a shift. The nurse or aide will see the scheduled shift in the 'CONFIRMED' tab of the SCHEDULE section of the ESHYFT Nurse app. You will also see the confirmed shift in:

  • The schedule in the facility manager web app

  • The shifts list in the facility manager web app

  • In the 'CONFIRMED' tab of the SHIFTS section in the mobile app

If you click on a shift with confirmed applicants, the 'SHIFT DETAILS' will appear, which lists the confirmed and applied applicants. From here you can cancel or chat with confirmed applicants. By click on the nurse's name you can see the nurse's profile and take more actions.

Please note that if you cancel a confirmed nurse less than 2 hours before the scheduled shift's start time, you will be charged for 2 hours of the shift as a penalty for the last minute shift cancellation.

Note: this applies even if a nurse is scheduled for a double shift. For example, if a nurse is scheduled for 3-11 and 11-7, and the facility cancels the 11-7 within two hours of the start time, a two hours timecard WILL be created.

Please note that in emergency circumstances a CNA, STNA, LNA, GNA, LPN, or RN may still call out of a shift they've been confirmed for. We encourage the nurses to notify the Facility Manager of any shift cancellation.

You will get a notification if an applicant cancels their shift.

If an applicant does not call out their shift, then they will use the ESHYFT Nurse app to clock in, clock out, and submit their timecard. Once their timecard is submitted you will need to approve or reject it. You can learn more about accepting and rejecting timecards here.
