How to approve a shift extension

Any timecards which extend 30 minutes or more after the shift’s scheduled end time, will now require a supervisor’s first name, last name, and job title.

At clock out, besides expressing your approval of the shift extension and documenting for your internal records that permission was given, there is nothing you need to do within ESHYFT.

Later, when reviewing timecards within ESHYFT, you will notice the name and title of the supervisor, who gave permission for the shift extension, is documented.

How will it work?

  1. For any timecard that extends past 30 minutes after shift end time, a nurse will need to add the name and title of the supervisor, who approved the shift extension. ⏰

  2. The name and title of the supervisor will be visible on the nurse's timecard, along with the rate of pay, hours, and breaks taken. You can easily see that information in both the Facility Manager Web App and Mobile App. 📲
