What the "Signing Order" Feature Does
Controls the Flow: Makes sure the document goes to each signer in the order you choose.
Sequential Access: Signers can only access the document after the previous signer has completed their part.
Clear Process: Prevents confusion about who should sign when.
What to Consider Before Using a Signing Order
Is it Necessary? For simple documents, a signing order might not be needed. Everyone can sign at once!
Plan Ahead: Make sure you know the exact order you need before setting it up.
Example
Let's say you have a contract with a Client, then a Manager. You would:
Add both people to the "Signers" list.
Check "Use ordered signing."
Put the client as position 1.
Put the Manager as position 2.
Now, the Client will get the document first. Only after the client signs will the Manager receive it.
