Note: Currently essaypop only offers a synchronous timer, meaning that when the timer is started it counts down for all students at the same time. This is perfect for the classroom or for a video-conference classroom where all students are gathered together in real-time.

Soon, however, essaypop will offer an asynchronous timer so that students' timers will begin only when they begin writing the essay, whether it be morning or night. For distance learning, this will be a very useful feature.

Teachers will find the timer setting in the teacher dashboard for the assignment.
