Understanding User Roles in Essential ERM
There are four types of users in Essential ERM:
1. Admin Users
Have full access to all features and data
Can manage system configuration and user accounts
2. Standard Users
Can use all standard system features
Can only view data for portfolios they’ve been granted access to
3. Read Only Users
Same data access as Standard Users
Cannot make changes to system data
Admins may optionally allow them to:
Add/edit personal notes on risks and resources
4. Contributors
Cannot log into Essential ERM
Access system via:
Email-based invitations
Simplified web screens tied to specific workflow tasks
Invited and managed by Standard or Admin Users
Why Can’t I See Certain Features?
If features described in the User Guide aren't visible:
Your organization may have disabled the feature, or
Your user type does not have access
If you think you should have access, contact your system administrator.
