Understanding User Roles in Essential ERM
There are four types of users in Essential ERM:
1. Admin Users
- Have full access to all features and data

- Can manage system configuration and user accounts

2. Standard Users
- Can use all standard system features

- Can only view data for portfolios they’ve been granted access to

3. Read Only Users
- Same data access as Standard Users

- Cannot make changes to system data

- Admins may optionally allow them to:

 - Add/edit personal notes on risks and resources

4. Contributors
- Cannot log into Essential ERM

- Access system via:

 - Email-based invitations

- Simplified web screens tied to specific workflow tasks

- Invited and managed by Standard or Admin Users

Why Can’t I See Certain Features?
If features described in the User Guide aren't visible:
- Your organization may have disabled the feature, or

- Your user type does not have access

If you think you should have access, contact your system administrator.
