How It Works

  1. Enable Essential AI

    • Turned off by default.

    • Must be enabled by Tracker support and accepted by an authorized signing authority.

    • Once enabled, Admins can activate it in Admin > General Settings > Enable Essential AI.

  2. Login and Use the Feature

    • After enabling, log out and back in.

    • You’ll see a magic wand icon in the top menu bar. Click it to access the AI panel.

  3. Generate Suggested Risks

    • Provide a short description of your organization and key business processes.

    • (Optional) Adjust the number of risks to generate and other settings.

    • Click Generate Risks.

    • AI returns an executive summary and a list of suggested risks.

  4. Review and Add to Register

    • Each suggested risk includes:

      • Name and description

      • Root causes

      • Mitigations

      • Consequences

      • Inherent risk scores

    • You can edit or remove any field before adding it to your system.

    • Check “Created by AI” to help track which risks were AI-generated.

Privacy Notes

  • Only the text you enter is sent to OpenAI—no system data or existing risks are shared.

  • Data is not stored by OpenAI and not used for training.

Finding AI-Created Risks

  • Look for the “AI” badge in your Risk Console.

  • Use the filter Created by AI to view them in the Risk Console or New Risks widget.
