Business Areas

Business Areas function as flexible tags and can be attached to Risks in a many-to-many relationship. This means that a single Risk may have many Business Areas linked to it, and a single Business Area may be linked to many Risks.

Standard and Admin Users can click on the drop down to attach or remove Business Areas from a Risk. Business Areas can also be removed by clicking on the small gray x inside the business area tag.

The list of available Business Areas is managed by Admin Users. Note that the blue “edit business areas” link will only be visible to Admin Users and will not appear for Standard and Read Only Users.

Once connected, Business Area tags can be used to filter the Enterprise Risk Console, as well as all system Reports, the advanced Export file, and many other screens throughout the system.

In the example above, a User may run a quarterly report for City Council with top Enterprise Risks. By attaching the “Council” tag, the User can easily filter all reports and data exports to show only the records that are in scope for their report.
