If the horse has been entered into the database and was previously unnamed, once the horse has been named the horse record can be updated by using Verify Horse.

Go to the Horse tab then search for the Dam or Sire of the horse that was previously entered as a an unnamed horse.

Select the horse then go to the Horse Details. Select Verify Horse

Remove the horse's name and enter the Dam's name then select search

A list of matching horses will be displayed.

Select the horse that matches the dam, sire and year of birth. The horse details will reopen with the horse's name and any other new information added to the record.

Select the Type of Horse then scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Save.
