Gear can be shown against a horse in the trackwork allocation grid two ways
The same gear is always required for trackwork or racing and needs to be saved against the horse record
A trainer wants to try gear on a horse just for today's trackwork but not permanently save it against a horse
To save gear against the horse record, go to Work Management - Trackwork Horses view.
Double click on the horse or right click on the horse and select Edit.
Enter the gear required for Race gear
Enter the gear required for Track Gear
Select Update or click on the next line to save
The gear will be saved against the horse details page
When trackwork is being set up in the grid, the gear can be selected via the modal.
If different gear is required just for today's trackwork, enter the new gear in the gear box and select the small green tick to save. It will not store permanently. If a horse's gear needs to be changed permanently, go the Work Managment - Trackwork Horses view and changed it there.
