In BO version 4.2, we can switch back and forth between read-only Reading and editing Design mode at any time while the report is open.
With a Results report open, look in the upper-right corner of the Results window, where you will find buttons labeled Reading and Design.
2. To view the report in read-only mode, click the Reading button. In Reading mode, the report can be run and updated but cannot be edited.
3. To view the report in edit mode, click the Design button. In Design mode, the structure of the report and data providers can be modified.
