Getting ready to start using ETO software 

In order to start using ETO software, a few thing need to happen: 

Staff Accounts: We need a list of all your staff to create accounts in ETO.  Please use this Excel spreadsheet to send us your staff list.  All CASA programs must submit a complete list of staff names and email addresses prior to your scheduled training/go live week.

User Training: All staff who will be using ETO software need to attend the ETO User training.  A list of trainings with links to register for the training are listed below.

Administrator Training: Every CASA program must designate an ETO Administrator.  This person is the primary go-to person for all-things-ETO. You may have more than one ETO Administrator.  Prior to going live, someone from your staff must be designated as the Administrator and must attend the both  the User Training and the Administrator training.  A list of trainings with links to register for the training are listed below.

Here are a few things to know about migrating COMET data to ETO:

  1.    You must be using COMET version 4.01 or higher.

 

2.    You will be sending us a copy of your COMET database file.We have made it extremely easy for you to submit your data to Social Solutions so that your data from COMET can be migrated to ETO.

 

a.     You will be uploading a copy of your COMET database (typically named – CometDBV4.mdb ) through a secure file sharing service to us.  The week before your scheduled go live date you will receive an email from the service (sharefile.com) with log-in instructions.

 

b.    You must upload your COMET database by Thursday at 9:00 AM EST to sharefile.com in order for us to process the data and upload it for the following week.  If you miss this time/date, your data will be uploaded the following week so there may be a week delay in accessing your data in ETO.

 

c.     Make sure you are uploading the database itself and not a shortcut to the database or the COMET application.  The database will have a .mdb extension.

 

3.    If you have more than one COMET database (with data from separate counties), please let us know this immediately.  We need to set up your ETO site differently so that you can keep the different counties’ data segregated (but you’ll also be able to report on the combined information).
