Toccare Control Panel – Firmware Upgrade Guide

Toccare Firmware Upgrade

Applicable Boards: Master (TD571/B) & Slave (TD574/B)
​Firmware Tool Required: Flash Magic (Version 7.40.3104 or later)
​Cables Required: 2x Serial Cables (included with the panel)

Before You Begin

  • Ensure you’ve saved the current configuration to a USB (FAT32, 4096-byte allocation).

    Path: Access Level 3 (33333) → Configure → System → USB → Export → Configuration → Continue

🧠 Master Board Firmware Update

Three firmware files are required:

  • OneLoop.hex

  • SpiFi.hex

  • Logo.hex

🔁 Uploading OneLoop.hex

  1. Insert J12 jumper to the right side

  2. Insert JP2 jumper

  3. Connect the serial cable (DB9 side) to the board and PC

  4. Power cycle the panel (OFF for 10 seconds, then ON)

  5. Run Flash Magic

  6. Configure as follows:

    • Select: LPC4088 from ARM Cortex

    • COM Port: Select appropriate COM (e.g. COM1, COM4)

    • Baud Rate: 115200 or 57600

    • Interface: None (ISP)

    • Hex File: Select OneLoop.hex

    • Oscillator (MHz): 12

    • Tick: Erase all Flash+Code Rd Prot, Verify after programming, Fill unused Flash

  7. Press Start
    ⏳ Takes approx. 10–12 minutes

🔁 Uploading SpiFi.hex

Do not remove jumpers.

  1. Power cycle the panel (OFF for 10 seconds, then ON)

  2. Run Flash Magic

  3. Configure as follows:

    • Select: Generic SPI LPC4088 EA in External Flash

    • COM Port: e.g. COM1, COM4

    • Interface: None (ISP)

    • Hex File: Select SpiFi.hex

    • Untick: Fill unused flash

  4. Press Start
    ⏳ Takes approx. 5 minutes

🔁 Uploading Logo.hex

Settings and process identical to SpiFi.hex upload.

  • Use Logo.hex instead of SpiFi.hex in the Hex File field

  • Power cycle the panel as before
    ⏳ Takes approx. 5 minutes

✅ Finalise Master Board Firmware

Once all three files are successfully uploaded:

  • Move J12 jumper to the left side

  • Remove JP2 jumper

  • Disconnect the serial cable (board & PC)

  • Press and hold SW9 button for 3–5 seconds

🧠 Slave Board Firmware Update

🔁 Steps to Update

  1. Insert J12 jumper to the left side

  2. Connect the serial cable (one-way connector) to J7 and your PC

  3. Press SW9 button

  4. Run Flash Magic

  5. Configure as follows:

    • Select: LPC1754

    • COM Port: e.g. COM1, COM4

    • Baud Rate: 28000

    • Interface: None (ISP)

    • Hex File: Select the file to be uploaded

    • Oscillator (MHz): 4

    • Tick: Erase all Flash+Code Rd Prot, Verify after programming, Fill unused Flash

  6. Press Start
    ⏳ Takes approx. 3 minutes

✅ Finalise Slave Board Firmware

  • Remove J12 jumper

  • Disconnect the serial cable (board & PC)

  • Press SW9 button

🧷 Serial Cable Types

🔌 Master Serial Cable

  • Two 9-pin female connectors

  • Supplied with the panel

🔌 Slave Serial Cable

  • One 9-pin female + one one-way connector

  • Supplied with the panel
