Sounder Circuits
Q: Why is there only one sounder circuit?
A: The panel provides a single conventional sounder circuit. To meet BS 5839-1 requirements, you must install at least one intelligent sounder on the loop to create a secondary sounder circuit.
Expansion Card Fault
Q: Fault – EXP 1 – what does this mean?
A: This refers to the loop expansion card. Ensure the additional card has been included in the configuration:
Configure → System → Additional Cards → Loop Expansion Card → Add
Protocols
Q: Can both Argus and Apollo protocols be run from the same panel?
A: No – although both protocols are selectable, only one protocol can be used across the entire panel. Mixed protocols are not supported.
Firmware Version
Q: Where can I view the firmware version?
A: Access Level 2 → Assistance
The firmware version will be displayed on-screen.
Time & Date Configuration
Q: How do I configure the time and date?
A: Access Level 3 → Configure → Date & Time → Save
Walk Test
Q: Can I do a one-man walk test?
A: Yes – Access Level 3 → Maintenance → Test → Sensor Modules → Walk Test
You can test single devices, zones, or the entire loop. Outputs will be disabled during the test. The tested device’s LED will illuminate, and events will be logged.
Auto Addressing
Q: What’s the Auto Address feature, and should I use it?
A: This function should only be used when all loop devices include isolators. The Eurotech standard detector range does not include isolators – so this feature should be avoided.
Network Card Setup
Q: How is a network card configured?
A: Access Level 3 → Configure → System → Additional Cards → Panels in Network
Set the number of network nodes and select which data is shared across the network – then Save.
Remote Keypads
Q: How do I add a remote keypad?
A: Access Level 3 → Configure → System → Peripherals
Select the number of remote keypads (repeaters) and Save.
Custom Logo
Q: How do I change the logo?
A: Custom logos are built into the firmware. If implemented, you will be provided with a 5-digit code.
Access Level 3 → Configure → System → Panel Info → Custom Logo → Enter Code
📩 Contact your RSM for details.
Event Log
Q: How do I view the event log or historical events?
A: Access Level 2 → Historical Events
Select the event you'd like to view.
Logic Function – Delay & Duration
Q: What do 'delay' and 'duration' mean in logic functions?
A:
Delay: Time (in seconds) before the output activates.
Duration: Time (in seconds) that the output remains active.
Logic Functions Over Network
Q: Can I apply logic functions across a network?
A: Yes – cause and effect (logic functions) can be applied across multiple networked panels.
All In / All Out
Q: Should ‘All In / All Out’ be enabled when using cause and effects?
A: No – if any cause and effect is programmed, ‘All In / All Out’ must be set to ‘No’.
Cause and Effects Setup
Q: How do I configure cause and effect?
A:
Cause: Set up as a Logic Function
Effect: Set up as an Output Zone

Additional PSU Wiring
Q: When is an additional PSU required?
A: An extra PSU is required if:
Two or more Loop Expansion Cards are fitted
A Network Card is installed on a 3-loop panel
