Clio <> Eve Integration

How the Clio<>Eve Integration works and how to set it up.

Summary

Grab your existing cases and their details directly from source into Eve.

Please note that integrations only work when you have an authorized administrator setup the connection into Eve. Please ensure that you have admin access to the platform you want to connect to Eve.

How To: Connect Clio - Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1:

Login to Eve and on the left hand navigation panel go to the Integrations

To complete the authorization to Clio, a new window will open up requiring you to login and follow steps to completion.

Step 2:

Your Matters will get pulled into Clio. You can check which of your Matters were pulled in from Clio and others that were created within Eve with the Clio connection icon.

*Matters created directly in Eve will not have this icon.

How To: Navigate Eve Matters with Clio

Eve will create four new ways to interact with your new information from Clio. These new areas will be used in all sessions, activities, and questions you ask Eve within your Matter.

Your Matters will get pulled into Clio. You can check which of your Matters were pulled in from Clio and others that were created within Eve with the Clio connection icon.

*Matters created directly in Eve will not have this icon.

Details:

Matter fields containing your case details will be pulled here into Eve.

Please note you will not be able to add new fields in this section in Eve or edit these fields. This will need to be changed and updated in Clio.

Contacts:

Main and relevant contacts associated with this case will be found below Details.

Please note you will not be able to add new contacts in this section in Eve or edit these contacts. This will need to be changed and updated in Clio.

Notes:

All notes made in Clio will be pulled into the Notes section sorted by most recent note first, you can search your notes to narrow down what you might be looking for.

Clio File Management:

Your file management section will be updated, Eve will make a distinction between files uploaded or created in Eve and files specifically imported into Clio.

You will still be able to select and specify which files Eve should be using before you get Eve to complete a task for you across both Clio and Eve files.

Please note you will not be able to add new files to the Clio Files section. This will need to be changed and updated in Clio. However, you can upload and draft files normally in Eve. Those files will be stored in the Eve Files section. Those files in the Eve Files section will not go back into Clio.

Re-sync a Matter:

Data from Clio is automatically synced to Eve on a nightly basis. If you need a more timely update during the date, at the bottom left corner of your session you will be able to sync your data from Clio into your Eve Matter if some information is out of date.

We recommend that you sync your files before beginning your tasks so that you are working with the most up to date information from Clio.

Q: How are my Clio matters named in Eve?

A: Eve will match the name of the matter you have in Clio.

Q: Will Eve automatically close matters that are closed in Clio?

A: Yes! Eve will update the close status.

Q: Can Eve push updates back to my Clio?

A: Please note that at this time Eve will not be able to do a 2-way sync between your platform and Eve, only case files and relevant details will be pushed one-way into Eve.

Q: How often does Eve sync my Clio data?

A: New matters are synced from to Eve within 1 hour. Data for matters is automatically re-synced every night.
