How To Enable Downloads

How To Enable Downloads

When you release music on EVEN, your fans can stream it directly through our web browser or mobile app, available on both Android and Apple devices. However, for fans who prefer more flexibility, you also have the option to enable downloads. This feature allows your audience to download your music directly to their device, giving them the ability to listen offline anytime, anywhere.

Listeners who download tracks from EVEN will receive them in MP3 format, which balances file size and audio quality for optimal compatibility.

When artists upload WAV audio files to EVEN, the platform compresses these files for streaming playback. This ensures smooth streaming without significantly compromising audio quality, optimizing performance for listeners.

Steps to Enable Downloads

Step 1: Upload Your Release

After entering your release information in your Backstage account, you'll be prompted to upload your tracks.

Step 2: Locate the Download Feature

Just above the track upload section, you’ll see an option to unlock the download feature for your release.

Step 3: Choose Your Download Date

Make sure to set the date when downloads will be available for fans.

When you enable downloads, fans will see a download icon, a downward-facing arrow, on the music player. This lets them download tracks directly to their phone or computer, so they can enjoy your music anytime, anywhere.

Downloads are provided in MP3 format, ensuring compatibility across devices while maintaining a balance between audio quality and file size.

If your release is already live and you would like to enable the download feature, feel free to contact our support team at support@even.biz.
