If your ad account has been disabled, we have a few steps you can follow to get your ad account up and running again! đââď¸
Common Reasons for Why An Ad Account is Disabled
Ad Accounts are disabled by Facebook & Instagram for one of two common reasons.
The first reason is that Facebook made a mistake and incorrectly disabled your ad account. đ¤Śââď¸
Facebook is overly precautious on flagging ad accounts that may violate their advertising policies. They use a combination of algorithms and humans to determine if an ad account is violating their policy.
It is possible that your ad account has been mistakenly disabled. If you believe that is the case, you can appeal that ad disapproval process.
The second reason is that the ad doesn't follow Facebook's Advertising Policies.
Facebook's Advertising Policies apply to an ad's content, audience, and the destination it links to. Please review the ad policies, your ads, and your website to ensure that they do not violate any terms.

Steps to Take to Troubleshoot a Disabled Facebook Ad Account
Here is what Meta recommends to troubleshoot your restricted account:
On your computer, go to Meta Account Quality.
Click Account status overview in the left menu.
Click the restricted account that you want to troubleshoot.
Look for a What you can do section. If you donât see a What you can do section, there are no further steps for you to take at this time.
In the What you can do section, take the recommended steps for your account. Meta may ask you to:
Confirm your identity.
Complete verification.
Secure your account.
Request a review.
In most cases, youâll need to confirm your identity before we can reinstate your account. Your account will either be reinstated immediately after completion of this step, or youâll be able to take further steps to troubleshoot.
â
Some of the following items may be required for confirmation:
Email address associated with your account.
Your mobile phone for SMS text.
Photo of your ID, such as a passport or driverâs license.
Payment method associated with your account.
Complete the on-screen steps. If no further action is required, your account will be reinstated once your identity is confirmed. Otherwise, you may need to return to the What you can do section in Account Quality and follow the recommended next steps. Note: Once you begin the confirmation process, you may need to complete it within a certain timeframe.
How to Appeal a Disabled Ad Account
If your account is restricted due to a policy violation, you may be able to request a review.
Meta recommends that you request a review if you believe that your account shouldnât be restricted.
To request a review, you must be an admin on the account.
In Account Quality, click Account status overview in the left menu.
Click the restricted account that you want to troubleshoot. In the What you can do section, click Request review.
Complete the on-screen steps.
When you're done, weâll review your account to see whether the restrictions should apply. Typically, their review is completed in 48 hours although it may take longer in some cases. If Meta determine that the restrictions should apply, theyâll remain in place, and you'll need to make a new ad account to post ads. Important note: any ads running before the restriction will not be automatically restarted. Youâll need to turn them on in Ads Manager, or click "Resume" in Eventbrite Boost.
