Create and list multiple dates for your recurring events with Eventeny! The recurring event dates feature gives event organizers the ability to list multiple dates for a single recurring event. Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors are able to choose specific dates to attend as well, but this will need to be enabled separately. You can learn more about how to enable artists, vendors & exhibitors for date selection here.
ℹ️ Info
This article assumes that you have already created your event, if not, review this guide first
Getting Started
Make sure you are logged into Eventeny.
At the top of the homepage, hover over the “Organize” tab and select the event you wish to work with.
This is your event dashboard. At the top of the left sidebar, under the "Home" tab, select "Event Information."
Setting Up Recurring Event Dates
This is your event information page. Click the "edit" button towards the top right of the page.
Scroll down until you see the "Recurring Event" toggle and toggle it to "Yes."
The toggle should also be a blue color. Go ahead and click "Save" at the bottom of the modal.
Scroll down past "Cover Picture" until you see the "Event dates" header.
Click on "Add your first event date" written in blue text.
A separate modal will appear asking you to fill out the following:
Title: What is the title of this recurring event date? An example might be Cherry Blossom Day, Art and Crafts, Jazz Concert, or simply Your Event Name Pt. 2.
Start Time: What date/time does this recurring event date start?
End Time: When does it end?
When you are finished, click "Save."
Repeat steps 5 and 6 if necessary.
Once a date has passed, it will automatically stop displaying in the event's schedule. This ensures that your event timeline remains up-to-date without requiring manual deletion. You can continue adding new future dates to the recurring event as needed, allowing for seamless event management.
Where Will My Recurring Dates Appear?
Only the first recurring date will be visible on your event page followed by the number of recurring dates after that. You can test this out by:
On your event dashboard, scroll all the way to the bottom of the left sidebar and select "Preview." You can also do this if you are on the event information page by clicking the blue "Preview now" button.
Under the "Dates" section of the event, you will see the title of the recurring date, and then the date/time itself underneath that.
Can My Artists, Vendors & Exhibitors Select One or More Recurring Dates I Have Listed?
Yes, they can! You just have to enable it on your end. Learn how to do so here.
What About My Ticket Buyers, Volunteers, Sponsors and Other Applicants?
Volunteers may select shifts that reflect their recurring event dates. Learn how to set up volunteer shifts here.
As for ticket buyers, sponsors, and other applicants, this is not yet a possibility on Eventeny. However, this is something our engineers are planning to implement in the near future! We will update this article accordingly when that day comes.
Best Practices for Recurring Events
When managing applications for a recurring event, it’s important to note that all applications are tied to the event as a whole. To better organize applications and avoid confusion:
Create Separate Applications by Category: For example, if your event has multiple categories (e.g., vendors, performers), create one application per category.
Include Specific Dates in Each Application: Use the recurring dates setup within Eventeny to specify the relevant dates for each application. This allows applicants to select or be assigned the appropriate dates directly within the application.
By structuring applications in this way, you can group submissions by category while maintaining clarity for both organizers and applicants.
