How to Add and Customize a Pinned Message in the Guestbook

Follow these steps to add or edit a pinned message in your EventLive guestbook. The pinned message appears at the top of the guestbook and is a great place to add event descriptions, welcome notes, or important information for your guests.


How to Add a Pinned Message

  1. Log in with your account.

  2. Click on your event.

  3. Click the Guestbook button.

  4. At the very top, you will see a field to add a Pinned Message.

  5. Type your message in this field.

  6. Click "Add Pinned message".

  7. You can add multiple pinned messages, they will always appear at the top of the page.


How to Edit or Update Your Pinned Message

If you want to change your pinned message:

  1. Go to the Guestbook tab for your event.

  2. Copy your current message if you want to keep part of it.

  3. Paste it into the pinned message field, make your changes, and save.

  4. If you have an old pinned message, you can delete it after posting the new one.

Note: There is no direct "edit" button for guestbook pinned messages. To update, post a new message and delete the old one.


Customizing Your Pinned Message

  • You can add event descriptions, welcome notes, or special instructions.

  • You can include links (such as to a gift registry) in your message.

  • For more links or documents, use the Title, Date, Time, Event Link, Uploads section in your event settings.


Important Notes

  • The pinned message always stays at the top of the guestbook for all guests to see.

  • There is currently no way to directly edit a posted guestbook message. You must post a new one and delete the old one.
