Fast Track Lesson 1.1: Welcome to Fast Track by EventsAir

Updated over a week ago

THESE ARE ALL ARCHIVED MATERIALS AND WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED TIME. THE ORIGINAL EXERCISES ARE NOT INCLUDED HERE.

To access the new EventsAir Academy, please use the "Learn" button at the top right of EventsAir.

NOTE: These videos were recorded prior to Version 16, so EventsAir looks a little different. The navigation bar is now on the left-hand side (instead of along the bottom of the screen).

You can do your EventsAir Fast Track training program in different ways. Choose the path that suits you best:

Stage 1 - Getting Started with EventsAir
Choose your preferred topics, and complete all Stage 1 topics if you aim to earn your Certificate
___
EventsAir Advanced Topics
Choose any topics you like after doing the short "Getting Ready for Stage 2" module
___

EventsAir is a feature-packed platform, so we’ve broken down information into topics to make it easier for you to learn.

In Stage 1, we’ll be covering the basics of setting up an event, including getting attendees registered, building a simple website, organizing tickets to functions, and more.

Within each topic, there a number of very short lessons, made up of:

  • Some brief introductory text and a video.

  • An exercise to help you practice what you’ve just seen in the video.

  • A quick quiz to help test consolidate your learning.

Watch the video below to find out more about Stage 1.

As with all the videos in Fast Track, can use the speed controls to speed them up or slow them down – whichever suits you best.

For our Stage 1 series of topics, we'll be using an example event called the 2025 Education Summit.

We’ll show you how to set up this event in Sandbox mode. This mode allows you to test and play with example events completely separate from your organization's actual event build.

The example Sandbox Event you’ll create has already been populated with sample data, registrations, functions, accommodation and other features you can explore and test. You’ll also be adding to it as you learn.

Watch the video below to find out more.

NOTE: EventsAir Version 16 is here and if you've already updated, your screen won't look exactly like this video. In the newer version:

  • The event selection screen (opening screen) is cleaner, and Global Tools are under the Menu button.
THIS INCLUDES THE "SWITCH MODES" TOOL, WHICH IS HOW YOU ACCESS SANDBOX MODE.

  • The Navigation menu (in an event) is on the left-hand side.

  • Some tools have now been grouped (e.g. Attendee Action Buttons in the Attendees Panel are now all under the "Actions" button, top right).

  • After a changeover period, all our videos will be updated.
