The Attendee App serves as a centralized hub for all event-related information that attendees can conveniently access from their mobile devices. It offers a wide range of features, including news updates, alerts, gamification, social networking, event agenda, and live engagement opportunities.

With its compatibility for both Android and iOS, this app enables attendees to stay connected and informed about your event before and during its dates. The Attendee App is a valuable tool for keeping attendees engaged and up to date throughout the event experience.

In this topic we'll look at setting up your Attendee App for use during your event.

2A.4.1.1 Setting up Your Attendee App

Setting up an Attendee App is a quick and simple process that only takes a few minutes. Once your app is set up, it becomes instantly accessible to your attendees in the Apple and Android app stores. In this lesson, we will guide you through the process of creating and setting up your Attendee App, enabling you to start adding modules and trying it out. Watch the video below to get started.

2A.4.2.1 The Essentials of Building Your Attendee App

While there are many elements you can add to your Attendee App, you will almost always include:
- The Agenda and My Agenda modules
- Privacy and Settings options, and
- the Meeting Hub.

In this lesson, we will guide you through the process of adding and configuring each of these items, along with a few others. We'll also look at viewing and testing your app using an example attendee to ensure that all items are displayed correctly.

2A.4.3.1 Adding Engagement to Your Attendee App

Building engagement and interaction helps your event be more enjoyable and memorable. You want attendees to interact not only with each other but also with exhibitors, sponsors, and presenters.

  • In this lesson, we'll learn more about how the Meeting Hub enables attendees to connect and chat with other attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, presenters, and even you, the event organizer.

  • We'll also look at how Gamification lets attendees participate in games and work towards achieving goals that you've designed, making the event more fun and entertaining. You can even offer prizes for the most points or goals.

  • Another way to increase engagement is through the Live Polling and Live Q&A features, which allow attendees to actively participate in live sessions and share their thoughts and questions.

To learn more about setting up all of these features, check out the video below.

2A.4.4.1 Advanced Attendee App Options

Now that you've created your Attendee App, it's time to explore some of the more advanced options.

  • Auto event check-in and function ticket purchase allow attendees to automatically check into your event when they arrive or purchase tickets directly from within the Attendee App.

  • While the resource gallery or meetings don't introduce new functionality, they extend access to elements that have been set up in your event. For example, the resource gallery provides access to presentation papers, while the meetings module helps facilitate arranged meetings between attendees.

To learn more about adding these modules to your Attendee App, check out the video below.

2A.4.5.1 Thinking About Hybrid Event Options [for your Attendee App]

Hybrid events have gained immense popularity in recent times, as event planners seek to diversify their attendance options. A key part of this is fostering interaction between both onsite and virtual attendees.

If you're considering hosting a hybrid event, the Attendee App offers excellent options to support networking and connection between onsite and virtual attendees.
